I originally got a drone in 2017 as a hobby. but I was impressed with the quality of the footage and being a creative person, I soon saw the potential of using footage with my own music. This led me to set up Scenic Exploration, a combination of beautiful UK scenery with original music and nature ambience to create long-playing videos themed around relaxation, sleep, meditation and inspiration.

As a result, I decided to improve my knowledge and skills by studying and passing the A2 Certificate of Competency Drone Course. Commonly known as the A2 C of C. This is a CAA-approved course (Civil Aviation Authority) and allows me to fly drones up to 4kG in weight for recreational or commercial purposes.

I am available for drone footage in Manchester and beyond. I use a lightweight drone, which means I can legally fly over people and property. As a sole operator, I offer a service that is convenient and affordable for many tasks.

How much do you charge?

It depends on the scope and requirements of your project. In the first instance, it is best for us to have an email exchange so that I can understand what your requirements are and whether I can help. From here we can explore the costs and possibilities together.

Are drones dangerous?

No, they are actually very safe. Unfortunately, a small minority of people taking risks and flying drones irresponsibly give them a bad name. Additionally, there is a lot of misunderstanding among the public. In reality, high-tech camera drones have numerous safety features and fail-safes that make them reliable and very safe. Pretty much all accidents are caused by human error.

How do you minimise the risk?

There is always a small risk with drones. However, with careful consideration of the situation, the flying conditions and the separation between drones and the people involved, risks can be minimised. With any commercial booking, I will cover all aspects of the flight plan with you and a full risk assessment will be carried out.

What does your insurance cover?

Typically, it covers me for the cost of the drone and public liability of at least £1,000,000. However, depending on your requirements the insurance will be adjusted to the needs of your project.

How many drones/pilots do you have available?

I am primarily a composer and audio producer. Drone piloting is an additional service I offer locally. I am a sole operator so do not have a team of pilots or a fleet of large drones. I use a lightweight drone that means I can fly closer to people and property.

Where can I see your qualification and insurance details?

I do not display my certificate or insurance details online as they contain personal information. However, when we discuss your project I will provide this as part of my risk assessment.

I will provide the following:-
– A2 Certificate of Competency issued by the CAA
– Flyer ID
– Operator ID
– Insurance documentation
– Risk assessment document
